Welcome to the Alumni Network!

2021 marks 10 years of Dig Deep Challenges and in that time over 1400 fundraisers have completed one of our challenges. It's been heart-warming to see so many people sharing fond memories of their time fundraising and taking on a challenge with us and we love that you still have such an affinity with the experience.

We are therefore delighted to be launching our new Alumni Network, a dedicated community where you can reconnect with past and present fundraisers to reminisce and relive your challenge experience, support the new intake of challenge fundraisers and be kept up to date with charity news and opportunities for you to continue your support!

In these series of newsletters we will share charity updates from the ground to help you understand the impact of your support and also share upcoming events and opportunities that are available for you to continue to unlock opportunity for Kenya's poorest residents. We would also encourage you to join the dedicated Alumni Network Facebook group and make sure you follow us on Instagram and LinkedIn.

The News from Ndanai...

The WASH Hub

We're very proud to have set up Bomet County's first WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) Hub with joint funding from the county government. This will play a vital role in managing WASH data from all over the county and the household surveys that we have been conducting across Bomet this year will form the basis of these datasets.

You can read more about this in our recent blog.

COVID-19 Protection

While we are not an emergency organisation, we do respond when a crisis affects our community. This month our Kenya team began distributing vital facemasks, handwashing facilities and hand sanitiser as part of our emergency COVID-19 appeal. These items delivered to the Bomet County Police HQ will be crucial in fighting the virus but we still need your help to supply more life-saving equipment across the county. So if you are able to, please donate now.

Walk the Great Rift Valley!

If you're looking to rediscover your adventurous side in 2022 then sign up to our new Walk for Water event along the stunning Great Rift Valley, Kenya. You'll visit schools and communities in Bomet County that your fundraising has helped and then spend 3 days walking 90km and sleeping under the stars. Check it out!

We've got a new shop!

Visit our brand new online shop packed full of products. Buy yourself anything from a Kilimanjaro inspired hoody to commemorate your achievements to unique Period Pride merchandise such as coasters, tote bags and cushions.

Remember, every item purchased helps further your impact in Kenya.

Thank you for your continued support and we hope you are excited to be part of the Alumni Network as it develops!
